Control IPOD via Steering Wheel control?

Hi Bros,

Just fitted a IPOD connector. Everything works well from playing the IPOD, charging the IPOD and fast forward/backwards a single track/song. Volume control is also fine since it does not send signal to IPOD.

The only problem is that when I want to move skip to the next song or jump back to the previous track/song using the steering wheel control, somehow the IPOD will behave weirdly.

The gadget is a simple box with a connector to our inbuilt audio CD Aux with a white multi-pin connector. The other end is a IPOD connector and a normal headphone pin socket. Anyone has managed to control IPOD using the steering wheel?

Thanks!

Checked, IPOD not in shuffle mode leh. The damage is $250 if u don't mind track control via IPOD but other things works perfectly tho.

When using the steering track control, the IPOD will first process the request correctly (either forward or backward 1 track/song), then immediate keep jump backwards a track/song every 1-2 sec for like 10 times. In the last few steps, it will even jump back to the initial start menu and then power off

Tested with different variants of IPOD, including IPOD Video, mini, etc. All same results

What is the brand of your iPod connector? Sounds like either you got a defective iPod connector device or a sticky forward/backward button on your steering wheel control.
