Car upgrades...
Hi guys,
Finally got my VR SF winning 18'' rims on my 8...sure beats the stock 16'' ones.....switched to 235/40 as well and the handling has definately improved..
I was tempted and succumbed to also installing the voltage stabalizer with grounding and the ground efflector.... don't know if I'm imagining things but I think there is smoother acceleration from the voltage stabalizer ...but I can't tell if the ground efflector really works...anyone here has installed the stuff and whats the feed back...
was also wondering about the suspension...is changing to lowering springs advisable or should one change to coilovers...
Lastly, any feedback on exhaust modifications? they claim the Rmagic exhaust gives an improvement of 15hp...is it true?
anyfeed back woud be most welcome. thanks
Dave

Sorry Dave......
I'm sorry to telll you that there is no (measurable) gain from any 'cat-back' mods...
Many people have measured, and discussed, and there is maybe 3 h.p. if you remove the whole damn thing, cat and all.
Definate losses from replacing the stock cold air system with a K&N 'warm air' setup.
Sorry.....

Congrats on the RIMs.. Pics?
I have a VS as well. The explanationof the advantages sounds logical but i cant realli feel it too. I think the deflector is a load of Bull, IMO. Wad aerodynamics? I saw the drawing of the air movement onto the deflectors and i dont buy it....:D
As for exhausts, u can definitely feel the difference or at least believe ur baby is breathing Betta! Keke.... Depends on ir budget and if u wanna brush the law with a couple of 500$ notes....
Cheers

dont care bout what people think most importantly you must like it. doesnt make sense to mod a car that others think is nice but you dont. remember you are facing the car practically everyday not them. life is too short to bother what others think. BTW i think the wing is FIERCE!
