Anyone interested in Canzoomers Stage 1 piggyback?

Rx-Appreci-8, I think you've got the wrong person.

Anyway, Neon, I think the stage 1 is pretty much an ecu to bump the spec of the de-tuned RX-8 outside of Japan back up to the JDM's spec. As we here in Singapore, are already getting the full JDM's spec, thus the only gain would probably be the so claimed fuel economy, so I don't see much point of getting that. IMO

Basically his stage 1 is similar to the JDM spec. Stage 2 is another matter...:D

Well,will wait for the 2nd stage thingy then.

 

We originally were designing this to match the JSpec tune. but found that it made all of it's power strictly up high over 6,000rpm.

There is a lot of demend for a stronger midrange as well, so we re-tuned to bring the power down lower.

We now get strong power at 5,100, and only sacrificed 1-2hp at the top (8500rpm).

It makes it a lot more driveable.

And no, i am not "Neon"

Anyway, I'm excited about the PCM piggy. I plan to order one after I recover from Christmas (seems Santa has been pretty jolly this year).

Neon just said that it MAY be cheaper if we did a group buy. Is there anything wrong with asking? If you don't ask, you will never know. Anyhow, its up to Maurice to decide whether he wants to give a group buy discount, not you.

Anyway, if you bothered to read the rest of the thread, we don't need stage 1, so there's no need for us JDM owners to join the queue.

 

Ya, I thought L&L's comment was pretty rude as well.
Trying to refrain myself from writing something nasty against his comment.

 

Actually, we are basically sold out for all we can make until January 15th.

As of that date it looks like we will be raising the price.

We were a bit optimistic about our costs when we set the price.

We will still honour the price on orders placed until December 31st, and confirmed with payment before Jan. 15th.

As you mentioned, our JDM cars are similar to the stage 1, so we are looking forward to your stage 2 kit eagerly...
