Talking Can anybody translate this from Japanese into English?

My AutoExe Member Brace finally arrived, the instructions however are in Japanese. In main instructions are simple and I am able to follow them from the photos and from the RX-8 shop manual. They sent another piece of paper in regards to a brace that attaches to the header and to the transmission. I am not quite sure what is involved in this step.

I'm guessing by the pictures, that you'll need to trim the metal bracket holding the catalytic converter to the frame. Looks like the brace doesn't clear.

Not too many Japanese users in the Far East forum since it's all in English....try to PM either Takahashi or Kurinobu (hope they don't mind my suggestion!).

Sometimes the Exhaust Bracket (the part shown on the right of that picture) will hit the crossbar you bought... not enough clearance.
In that instance, you need to take out that part and use a disk grinder to cut the part in the area shown shaded.

So try it first, if it doesnt hit lucky you, if it does then ouch... sounds like a hassle to do.

Well with my not so perfect Japanese..

Adrian is right.

It reads," Attention: Due to the difference of individual cars parts, the clearance between the product's front cross bar and ?????? (ekizoshitobula kit???) will be to be ensured. It is afraid that the ? kit need to be modified if not fit. In order to get clearence, please use a disc grinder to remove the metal marked with the oblique pararell lines"

I think you know what that means...... :D

Great, another tool to buy, thanks for the quick replies. I am sure the vendor would have taken days. I put on the rear part of the brace yesterday so I will work on the front today.

As it turns out there was plenty of clearance between the brace & the trans / Cat bracket so I didn’t need to trim anything. I should be able to post a DIY on the brace sometime tomorrow. The real test however will be next month at Summit Point

I had the AUTOEXE 12 pts Member Braces installed 4 months ago............

2 things: 1. The original blacket has to be grinded to get clearence b4 the member braces can be installed.

2. VERY IMPORTANCE!!! The braces has to be fastened by using Torgue Wrence to ensure the tension are ALL equal!!!! Orelse it will make lot of noises when the car is on the move........ You will relise how "flex" the car without the braces..........

This is the most importance accessory which I think the 8 should have since it was desgins without the B-Pillars.......... It does to improve the car handling performance & road holding.....

AND it need time to run in too...... for the first 1 month plus when you drive the car, the under carriage will produce lots of noise...... especially when you go over a hump or something....... it will go off about a month later (it depends how offen you drive your car) then you will start to enjoy the beautiful handling of your 8.......... Cheers......

like i explain to a bro in pm, list price is 60,800 with 5% local tax. w/o is 58,000. but then still have to factor in local 5% GST after importing. so same same. if bring in hand carry, then no need GST, which is impossible.

60,800yen equates to ard $950 to $960(with GST, subjective to credit card ex. rate). this price, of cos, is only estimated, cld be slightly more, cld be slightly less. If more pple interested, of cos bargaining power is better and can ask for discount......

shipping costs cld be evened out if there r many orders... economy of scale..

pls do note that i do not earn any commission or anything from this transaction. purely lobang sharing cos i tink this wldbe one of the best buy for our car.

even autoexe told me once installed, ur car will be like (in his context) "german car", "german car".............

lucas, ai mai?????

the rest??? interested or not???

of cos, if anyone need other autoexe products, this is a good time, cos all come at one go, again, bargaining power higher!!!!

fyi, autoexe staff came out from mazdaspeed. the then autoexe was the authorised sports body for mazda, before mazda japan took over mazdaspeed. The staff from there then came out to form autoexe as an independant body. Quality is definitely assured. U guys seen mazdaspeed stuff before? autoexe stuff are juz as high quality........

bodykit anyone??? no one in spore has it yet..... looks especially stunning on a pearl white!!!! (*hinting at adam) :D their demo car is oso white in colour and its damn stunning! looks damn good on the real car...... some kits on pictures look very ugly but the real thing is different......

Maybe there are a little different between the JDM's and America's RX-8, that's why renesis8 got to trim his and you dont have to.
