generally, using OEM brake pads SHOULD not result in brake-squeal as the pads are well designed for a "good fit" to the calipers. Use of aftermarket parts will likely result in the squeal, due to the not so good fit.
Hence it appeared to me that the RX8 OEM pads are not good fit to the calipers (either that they are using aftermarket parts). In addition to the change of pads, what MM did is to put some grease at the BACK fo the pad to reduce squeal. Hence the immediate improvement for a short period of time and it does not solve the problem.
think we should all make hell of a noise, louder than the squeal to resolve this.

1st thing 1st - all sports brake pads will make the squealing sound, be it endless, project mu, brembo, so long as they are sports brake pads, they will give u the sound...... quote me on this. Those whose brake pads are finishing and have the sound, try to change to endless or brembo or project mu brake pads. Theorectically, new brake pads should not have any problems. To my best knowledge, these brake pads will definitely make the squealing sound, as all good sports brake pads do......
as for our stock brake pads, mine so far have not made any noise. but the brake dust is a pain in the ***. always must clean my rims....

No matter how many times you change your OEM brake pad, the squeeeking sound will still remains. It's because its the same old brake pad with same material. Try to get aftermarket stuff. But dont choose project MU cause it eat your disk brake so much, people tot that your r driving a lorry. I use Brembo on my BMW and never heard any sound before. But more expensive lar.

Actually I've had some success with my pad replacement at MM. After a couple of months I'm yet to hear the squeal again. However, I haven't put a lot of km's on my car since the replacement (frequent biz trips). Note, Mazda issued a service bulletin in the US last year concerning brake squeal and the fix is to get the pads replaced under warranty....so that's exactly what I did at MM. If you have the squeal regardless of how old your 8 is and you go in for MM servicing, don't "ask" them to check the brakes, bloody tell them to replace the pads else they dick you around.

EXACTLY , change of pads(rear only) & grease at the back,
hope this can last longer than expected.
