Just wondering if any of you guys in Japan have come across any dyno results that were done locally for the RX-8?

What were the results like? Hopefully much better than the ones obtained from those few cars dynoed in the States! Thanks in advance!

But if the car can do 5.9 secs, not too worried abt performance. Only bragging rights :D

 

Only the pre-production cars did 5.9 secs. Nobody has instrumented figures for the production cars yet. One guy tried an 8000rpm launch measured with a G-tech and got 6.6.

 

6.6s is not so hot.

Where are my ponies?

 

Hercules claims around 6 secs for 0-60 (however he was using a manual chrono ie watch)

 

More info - the car was not broken in (500 miles) and had two people in it, so not too shabby. He got the same results with a 4000rpm launch as well (had DSC off at all times).
