In the spirit of Lohsk's post, I was on a Singapore-London-Singapore trip this week, tried to access the on-flight broadband connection provided by SIA. It didn't work on the leg out, but worked great on the leg back...connected to my company VPN at 39,000 feet and sending/receiving encrypted content is very cool

 

Willing be going off next week on a biz trip

 

I tried to get on at the airport with my lap top but didn't have my account passwords. I could only use the free ones around. At phuket was the same thing... 3 wireless providers and nothing free.

VPN at 39000 is pretty cool, did you try to skype ? haha that would screw up the bandwidth.

A bit off topic, but I hope you guys were driving tonight with the a/c off, the sunroof open and the windows down! Absolutely beautiful night out there this evening. I took the loooong way home....three times The crisp cool air is so rare here. Best part of driving with the glass removed is to really hear the intake/exhaust backpressure pops

 

Absolutely right! Wonderfully cool for a change - the car feels more powerful too!

 

yup!! shared ur sentiments exactly...
i drove with my sunroof up (or moonroof, some said) and both windows down...... redline a couple of times..... SHIOK!!! esp with my new ram air duct addition....... double shiok! i tot i cld take the longer way home, but the savings from petrol got the better of me.... and so i took usual route but revving all the way.....
