lawreo, i believe INXS was talking about his own car, he drives a 4AT too, dont think he was trying to put down the car deliberately or anything, just a joke...
and its not a AT vs MT debate -_-
just dug up a thread in the past, involving a discussion on the 0-100 timing for 4ATs being over 10s. just wanted to know if the 6ATs are the same. Not trying to make a comparison or debate anything.

Does it really matter? An AT is an AT. In either guise (6AT / 4AT) it is slow as hell and you would never be considered quick without some serious mods. So what IF the 6AT is a second faster than the 4AT? Congratz - you've just graduated from the 'I can beat a Picanto club' to the 'I can beat a Vios club'. It still means jack ****.
So you chose the AT. Good for you bro. Be happy about the strengths of the car. Its looks, handling, 4 seats and take the opportunity to laugh at us MT drivers when we get stuck in a traffic jam.
And by the way....if you really wanted a fast car with an awesome auto box that does not hamper performance? Then go buy a Golf GTi.

I guess everyone is old and mature enough. I'm also driving a slow 4AT... because my wife is driving too. There is no way an AT can beat a MT unless with serious mod. I just like the sleek & elegance design, four seater and good handling RX8.
