Guys,

Just wonder if you all had this problem....

Jus went for service for my 2 yr old AT at 35000. The engine warning light was comin on and off for the past few days. I wanted my spark plugs changed but in addition needed to change the 4 of the spark plug wires + 4 of the ignition coils...

Did you guys have such problems?

I just spoke to a first batch owner JDM 6sp. He said he had the same problem with the coils too? I wonder if its a specific batch problem (coil/car) or widespread among all 8? Seems like its more common with the earlier batches as no one has this problem now. Or maybe not yet.

can check which year is the 1st batch RX8 ?? mine is a oct 2004 , does it belongs to the first batch ?

 

Most probably only mazda knows. There is the VIN. Doubt they will release details though.

 

the earliest batch of rx8 is 2003 AUG - SEP(PI), as for MM is around 2004 MAR - APRIL.......
