2005 remote/key

Hi all, has existing 8-owners managed to convert their ugly key n remote units to the new 2005 whiplash model (key+remote integrated) ala volkswagen kind?
Saw some threads in the US forum whereby their extremely helpful workshops converted their old remote unit/keys....

Can you guys post a URL for that advert or is it a local Singapore thing. I'm in Auckland but am up there regularly and have a couple of mates who could pick up for me. Was the re programming difficult?

Sorry Mike, I'm asking ard if anyone one could replace the old remote+keys with the new one. Re-programming is needed. Will post an update if I find anyone who could do the replacements....

Just called GR. They can't do it. Have contacted my PI to check if they can order it in the form of a lost key/remote. Wonder if MM is able to do it....

supposedly GR told me that the progamming is quite hard to do but since the US guys can get it done then its possible.
Will post my keys and let you guys know the feedback when my car arrives sometime this week. BTW i thought someone has the retrac key already cause got one really new member, has the same plate reg as me, SFN. It was red and a gal who also attended the recent meet, can probably ask her.

He wasn't sure how come the PIs are able to skip the inspection for the new key.... damn.... MM sure is slow on updating latest informations and parts for our 8s. will keep u guys updated if there is anyting new.

zac, saw your winning blue at the meet-up but didn't manage to catch you in person. To think I asked both of you to join the meet-up and didn't get to meet either... :p Must have been too busy chatting with the rest about our rides. So sorri :o
