his service isn't the issue.
you received a bad AP.
cobb is the one that should have taken care of you from the beginning but that needed to be initated by you immediately.

I'm not picking on you bulldog but I know from EXPERIENCE the headaches that can happen with an bricked AP. It happened to a very good friend of mine the night before I hosted a large dyno event.
I was with Jeff when my buddy called to tell me his AP was having Communication Errors.
Jeff recommended we call Cobb
Friend called Cobb and they took care of everything. It took a week or two but it eventually got sorted out by them.

Now just hang tight and I'm sure you'll start receiving maps.
Have you had a chance to datalog your car with your new AP?

i tried to datalog, i uploaded a 2004 Jeff base map but my 8 is FI and the AFR was to lean (really too lean...17.4 at 4000 rpm) with this base map...i cannot make the 2nd log because i need to rev the car over 4000 rpm. I just need a new base map, that's it

hang in there bulldog, I'm sure Jeff will take care of you.
(assuming Cobb has sent him a software upgrade that can create maps for your unique PCM)

your powers strong are, wise Jedi. We have to admit that there have been a couple of incomprehensions from both parties but now everything looks like is going to be settled!
Plus Jeff is so kind to do the maps even after the 3 months period because of this issue when i understand that for your law the vendor is not as liable as the producer while here in europe is the exact opposite. You bend over the vendor and then he calls the producer crying.

Jeff is handling this thing in the best way he could, if you don't care about how slow he his with his replies but that is a tradition now

Like the sent RMA from Cobb that you thought that was not a final confirmation, and their lack of replies for that request.

The 2003 is the 2004.
Technically, there is no such thing as a 2003 RX-8. Its just the wacky US vs. JDM naming convention.

Please Response!

Dear Jeff,
I wrote to you several times to know if there has been some troubles with the e-mail, I'm still waiting for the FIRST map, or is it normal that I sent to you my log on the 14th of September and I haven't received nothing yet?
I would like to know the reason why after many emails I wrote I still don't have the answer...as per me there are many other RX8Tribe.com users.
I think this behavior is not correct and professional, due to the fact that you have enough time to reply here.
I would like a reply, for being reassured, or better for receiving my map.

Thank you
