Z4 for a 24K
Just saw on the whatcar website that BMW have launced a 'cheap' Z4 for a shade over 24K. Before everyone goes off telling me that the RX8 is in a very different category and appeals to a different buyer, there are many on this forum that do not need the extra 2 seats and surely, this is not a bad deal....

The phrase "All show and no go" comes to mind for the base model

the guy that sits next to me at work had one day after release
issues he's had so far
- chrome tailpipes not fitted, they were posted to him and he was asked to fit them himself
- aircon broke down, took a week to fix
- roof was stuck up as the latches in the boot that release )as first stage of the motor) failed. This took 5 days to fix.
So, not a good start so far!

Although the Z4 is indeed a very beautiful car, its still waaaaayyyyy off the top spot in the category. S2K, MR2, even MGF could beat it on a track, and all it has going is its looks
It will need the big engine to bring some sparkle into the equation, and by then it will be way more expensive than that......
