What Car are people swapping from?
I think people will agree with me that the RX8 is not your typical average catagorised car.
So it would be interesting to see what sought of motors people are changing from.
Personally for me, its a matter of something completely different to the norm without being hidious like a PT Cruiser or Fiat Multipla. I know its not the same but I think you know what I mean.
Pics would be nice as well.
Cheers

'01 Civic Type R
I've done the hot hatch thing to death, mainly with succesive VTi and Type R Civics. Time to move on. I fancied another form of Type R but Honda don't make any!!! No officail UK Integra, no new Accord and the S2000 is lovely but over priced, and I need some room in the back for the young 'un. Have always had a soft spot for Mazda , the RX-7s especially, and the 8 seems just too ideal for words. Same performance as the Civic without the rawness, that stops being endearing and starts being wearing after 2 months of ownership.
Haven't ordered yet though. Still have to pay of the Type R and test drive the RX-8. I might hate it after all! Unlikely though...
Not my car but exactly the same:

We've done this one before, but what the hell....
Everyone seems to have black cars so far, but yet no-one has ordered a black RX8.
Here's my Scooby doo (Impreza WRX STi TypeUK Prodrive Style)
I will miss it when/if it goes........

18ME,
I guess you've just checked the website then , as you are correct.
Extension was quite a mess, still havent completely finished inside yet and the builders finished 7 months ago! Mind you, if thats your drive, your place looks pretty impressive!
So have you gone from Boxster to BMW and now to RX8?
Is that a plain Boxter or an S, and which 3 series as you dont say?

Rover 214 SEi. I decided that for the sake of my licence the power was just too much and I should trade down to an RX-8. (0-60 in 10.5secs, 115bhp for those who don't know: I DO like it though).

It does seem that I'm going backwards I know but I just can't seem to keep a car too long before I get bored. I do mean to keep new cars that I buy when I order them. My wife despairs of me now because I do the same with her cars:D :D
The Boxster I bought new last year and waited 10 months for delivery and sold it after 4 months. (bit of a long story so I won't bore you)
It was a Boxster S with too many extras so I lost a fortune and the BMW is a stop gap that I bought at auction a few weeks ago, its a 2001 330ci sport.
We used to live on Dingle Lane a few years back thats how I know about Hillfields.
Did you buy your Impreza's from Wooton Wowen?

I know what you mean, Ive had the scoob 10 months and I love it but at the same time want to change it and the RX8 really took my eye.
The black S looks great (it must be a good story), so does the bimmer but im not a fan of these, sorry Have you got an RX8 on order, if so what spec?
I know dingle lane well, just round the corner.
Both of my imprezas have come from different garages, but neither from Burts in wooten wowen. They have done some servicing and bits and pieces for me though.

I got my confirmation today, EP305. Ordered beginning of Feb.
Did have an R32 on order but got totally shafted by the dealer. Just hope it doesn't happen again.
So which dealer you ordered from the Mark?

Will be selling my two beetles.
The one below (1.8T 17 months old) and my mint 1973 1303s in metallic blue also.
Will miss them both but looking forward to my RX8!
Cheers

Audi TT coupe 225. Superb car but being sold due to;
1) getting a bit common now especially with V6 and smaller version coming out soon
2) no real back seats
but at present loving the turbo boosts to bits (hence my RX8 torque problem).

I'm hoping that it will replace my old Polo G40 (yes, sorry for the boy-racer looks.. lol) and not the TVR, [IMG] but depends what happens with work at the moment :-/
Only upsetting thing is that it will probably be slower than the Polo..! But at least it'll handle 1000 times better, and won't sound like its falling apart inside (rattle*bang*crash*squeak.. you get the idea).

Jaguar X-Type 3.0 Sport
(great car, but I don't need the backseats often, and it's simply to big & long for me...)
And for the sunny days of my life I have this little baby:
