UK Warranty etc

Does anyone know what those of us not buying S2000s can expect in the way of warranties and servicing? Anti-corrosion should be 3 years+ I presume but is Mazda any good at this sort of thing?

I don't know if you've seen the program "A Car is Reborn" where Mark Evans restores that Jaguar convertible, but we Yankees get it here on a minor Discovery channel (Discovery Home and Leisure). I was intrigued when they found a bit of car cancer (rusted out panels) on it. Is corrosion a significant problem in the UK? If so, how come? Does the proximity to the ocean have anything to do with it?

I thought I read that there will be a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty with the RX8.

This was in the brochure that we were sent just after confirmation of the order.

To quote the literature

"You will also have the reassurance of Mazda's 3 year 60,000 miles manufacturer warranty plus 3 years breakdown and roadside assistance anywhere in Europe"

And you're assuming I got one of those right?! Anyway, that's good news.

Maybe it's a 36,000 year, 3 mile warranty. That would be typical!

Don't see why bodywork should be a problem - Mazda are usually quite good at that.

As for warranties in general - well on my MX-5 they replaced a catalytic converter, fixed a leaking roof seal and replace the complete short-block after I blew the engine on a trackday.

So I'd say they're quite good...
