Test Drive Offered

Just this very moment been offered a test drive in a call from Mazda UK - but I picked mine up from the dealer on Saturday! Well, we knew Mazda UK never knew when they would be delivered, but not knowing when they were delivered takes the biscuit.

Congratulations on the new car - I saw your previous post with pictures and it looks superb.

How's things going with the car? I'd be particularly interested in how you're finding the cloth seats (my preferred option). Also, how's the MPG going?

Cheers

Ho Ho. I hope you were suitably sarcastic?

Brooker - I've only managed about 50 miles so far (can't drive and watch the Rugby at the same time) so its too early to say anything about MPG. Untill I move out to Essex in December most of my journeys will be around town, so I probably still won't get a good indication. Will have a run down to the West Country at the end of the month which should give a better idea. Not having filled up yet, I don't even know how much that costs!

Cloth seats are much nicer than I had expected and actually have quite a "quality" feel to them. Can't actually compare them to leather as I havn't sat in them yet. Would have been nice to have the electric seat option in cloth though.

It's the other way round for me - I'm having the electric seat because I've ordered leather but wish both seats were manual. I find the electric seats the biggest bugbear in my current car (especially when rear passengers are getting in/out) and they have gone wrong twice - once it meant the car was not driveable.

ploszek,

Having had the opportunity to look around your vehicle, I thought by the title of your thread that you were doing the gentlemanly thing, and offering a test drive.

Get my first drive tomorrow at 10.00am, get the feeling my pocket is going to be a little lighter when I return.

Wink

Ha Ha Harrizone. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Mind you - you can always trudge up the A13 and come and have another look, but the driving seat is mine - and mine alone!:D If that is too far, it will be moving back to Westcliff in December (touch wood and all the hassle with the house gets sorted out).
