Anyone with Sat Nav received their cars yet?

 

Yep - Friday last.

 

A few questions for those who have SatNav then...

What’s you opinion of it so far?
Has it proved to be accurate in terms of finding the quickest route and warning of approaching turns?
Does the map cover UK only or Europe too?

Also, I heard that it linked to the audio system. Is this only for audible directions or does this mean that the LCD can display Radio/CD information when the navigation system is not in use?

(Sorry for all the questions, but this in one extra I’m really interested in and so far most of the postings on this topic have related to hacking the system to play DVD movies!).

No not yet, and I have exactly the same spec car on order as you!!!

 

It's fine - it works!

I drove from St Albans to Portsmouth, and it found the right hotel - can't ask more than that. It did suggest a very strange route locally for me, but that was a short journey I know.

Covers all of Europe (I checked the route it recommended for my skiing holiday at Christmas!).

Seperate speaker for instructions (I think - sounds like it's in front of the driver on the right somewhere). Bose got quieter when instruction came (I was listening to speaking on Radio 4 at the time).

LCD doesn't display anything but maps. (Though see Audio forum for hacking info if you want that.)
