RX-8 Owners Profile
Whlie trawling through the European forum for the last 6 weeks and after visiting the preview at Gaydon there seems to a lot similarities between other prospective buyers and myself.
For instance while parking my current Lexus IS200 Sport car at the RX-8 preview car park there were 2 other IS200 parked nearby. I have also seen other mentions of the IS200 on the forum.
Secondly while at the preview I saw 2 families with children aged approx 4-10. Likewise I have 2 small children aged 4 & 7.
Lastly everyone at the event seemed to be aged between 30 & 50. Is this the same at the forum.

Well, we do tend to be IT related, or professional at something, be 25-50, but we don't all have kids.
I do a lot of chauffering as half of my in-laws can't drive due to an annoying eye condition (incurable) their family has. So 4 seats is useful, but not for kids.
Me, I'm 37, and was a computer guy for many years, but currently own a computer/printer based shop, have a sporty car, so guess i fit much of the 'average ' forum user. :D

I'm only just 24, so I don't fit that bit.
I don't have kids (though it is under discussion with the wife), so I don't fit there either.
I'm an IT Manager, so that fits.
I presently have five cars altogether, which will mostly be culled for a smaller number of new cars. My main driver is a factory "special" Renault Laguna from my very brief racing days, made road legal.
I think you'll find there probably is a general "fit" for most RX8 buyers, because of the requirements and market the car fits into, but there are also those of us who don't exactly fit.

32, work in IT, wife , but no kids.
We wont use the rear seats that often , but as a 1 car family (we dont need 2 cars) it needs to be a little practical , especialy if I'm ever to see that caterfield on the drive
Currently driving a sporty 1.8 focus LX. No , honestly, its just like I imagine driving an RX-8 will be like! (during break in....)

31, married, one 3 month daughter, Business Unit leader (Internet).
Currently a Clio RS (180 hps).
on the american threads, there is much more young kids that bought the car with dady's money... depressing.

Might as well do it again.
34 year old not married (but long term girlfriend) with 2 lads (eldest is 3 next week , the other is 7 months old.) Work in IT / Finance. I drive a C70 T5 GT and the missus has the sprog carrier (Citroen Picasso.) I commute 138 miles a day and I'm environmentally friendly cos I share with 2 others - hence the need for a proper 4 seater.
