It's another useful freebie. Had it with my previous car but is only a midly useful deterrent.
If someone steals the car they are going to have to change all of the glass in the vehicle as there is an etched code that will identify you as the owner.
Useful when buying a car as you can check on ownership and the police can also use it as a check, although they mostly use the DVLA database.

Yup - its pukka. They even got in touch with me as the new owner of a second hand MX5.
By the way - is the rear window etched? That is going to be difficult for a gang to replace for quite a while!

Contigo, they are genuine.
Have had 2 MX5s registered with them so don't think you need to worry. Have contacted them when neccessary but you will not get any junk mail or annoying phone calls and they always seem very professional.
It's another deterrrent which I reckon is worth doing (after all it's free!)
