My 8s been getting lots of comments at work (and family). The general comments are;

Fantastic.
It looks really nice.
Its better in the flesh than in the mags.
Like you new Lexus! (The rear lights gave this away)
How much was it?
When are you opening your salon (ex TT owner - sour grapes).
The boss will think he's paying you too much.
Those lights are bloody bright.

All very favourable, even if there is some envy in their (ex TT man) breath.

Definately a feelgood car.

It gives you a nice warm feeling inside when you get compliments like that, doesn't it.

Two babes (Brunette driver and Blonde passenger) turn up at the petrol station this evening in a new VW Beetle (with some very nice alloys). Brunette behind me in the queue to pay, noticed the blonde, peering into the 8. Finish paying and walk over to the car. She apologises, I say no need, and the Brunette is standing behind me.

Brunette - "Can I have look inside"

I open both doors on the drivers side.

Blonde - "F**k me thats bloody brilliant"

Tempted, but I didn't want to ruin the seats trying:p

The Blonde looks at the Brunette and says;

"Told you, you should'nt have cancelled your order"!

Turns out she could'nt wait for the 8 (low power) and brought a Beetle instead. She did not look very happy when she got back in her car.

And I thought it was the blondes that were supposed to be dumb.

I have recieved lots of positive comments including "your getting paid too much and look at your private plate you flash b*stard"
everyone has been impressed especially with the door opening, which it has to be said is very functional as well as looking good. I am also pleased to say that (for those that remember me asking the question months ago) my Dad is able to get in and out as a passenger as easily if not easier than my old BMW plus his wheelchair fits in the boot which was a real concern for me when ordering the car.
The car is a fantastic performer, looker and head turner. It is also very practical.I gave a lift to some work colleagues one of whom sat in the back for over 80 miles eachway, he said it was both comfortable and deceptively spacious.I am really pleased too that the boot space is so usable (although anyone that lives in Bristol that has an estate to help me pick up a desk from Ikea would be a well recied volunteer:p )
