There was 1 mile on it on Friday when it arrived at the dealers, there better not more than another few yards when I pick it up in half an hour!

18ME, no car is due around the 15th Nov .
I only ask as when I brought my wife a new Yaris it had 57 miles on the clock, which I made sure they gave me some free accessories for.
Seems between 1 and 50 is the norm. The fewer the better in my book.

After receipt and preperation of the car the dealer needs to take it out for a trail and I therefore suggest 15 miles or so should be acceptable but if only 1.5 then he has tested nothing.

Mine had 2 on it. Is that the distance from the boat to customs? Makes me wonder what type of character was given the job of doing that.
Specman - 44?? OMG? When you collected it, did it have an illuminated sign on top, a meter fitted to the dash and kebab wrappers on the back seat??? I'd have a word if I were you.

I would be really worried if 20 miles were on the clock ... it's not normal practise (as far as I know) for dealers to do more than a quick run round the block. More than this and as far as I am concerned the guys have been playing with MY car or taking customers out in it. grrrrrrrr

Oops was so excited I read the big number on the top, not the bottom one. So mine actually had 4 whole miles on the clock.
I've put on another 240 joy drenched miles today though :D
