the problem with Mazdas Rx8
the problem with Mazdas Rx8 is that as a ground breaking vehicle, it is going to be WRONGLY aligned by many, including those in the motoring world, who should know better.
Really, its NOT a replacement for the FD Rx7, for if it where, it wouldnt be 22K, and it wouldnt have 4 seats.
What it is, is a BRILLIANT 4 seater, transending the normal auto classes, and offering bucket loads of what sports car drivers crave; driving satisfaction. Anyone who has driven a Rotary will know all about this.
Mix this with truckloads of style, and of course, its crown jewel, Mazdas best Rotary to date. AWESOME.

Although I agree with you, Mazda cannot "afford" to be nit-picking right now. Look at the "audience" and prospective buyers that the RX8 has: even people who have no idea what a rotary is. Maybe this is the break that Mazda looked for all these years for the wankel
