I have already tried calling today and they are all away at the RX-8 course. The woman says that they have an RX-8 in silver (Demonstrator).

Who tells you this?

Contingo,

I have kept this one a secret until now. A friends brother works for Mazda/shipping company that transports the cars from Kent to the dealerships!!!!!!. My friend came around yesterday to notify me that a couple of 8's had been deliverd to Newbury - thinking 1 of them was mine!!!!!. Secondly, the silver car the lady is on about is the dealer car - which they will be driving back from Silverstone themselves?. So who has orderd a silver 8 from Newbury?, it could be your car that is there.

No wonder you kept that one quiet! It'll be so tempting for us to try and get your contact to let us know when deliveries to our dealerships (which would be unfair) - but seeing as I'm the first can you ask him to give you a ring when they send a couple of titaniums to Swansea!:p

Andy,

I don't know how they work down there. I think certain drivers have set dealerships/routes. I am affraid to say that I can only keep the fellow Newbury customers updated on this one.

I was only joking! It does seem though that the expected delivery date is probably the latest date to the dealer or week ending the date given.

If we do find an owner for the 8's delivered to Newbury it would be nice to tie it up to the delivery date given on the computer system to see if some are arriving earlier than anticipated. I suspect Mazda UK are playing on the safe side with the estimated delivery date.

I ordered a Silver 8 from Newbury (in Feb), so, it could be mine I suppose. However, I'm soooo deflated by the whole experience so far that I'm just going to wait for the call from the dealer.
