Hi to you all,
On Monday I placed an order for a high power Titanium RX8 with leather (delivery Feb). I have been following this car in various magazines from last November; test drove an RX8 in September at Mazda Bookham and signed on the dotted line. Unlike most members of this forum, this is a company car - and no, it is not a good option from an economic point of view (in spite of what Mazda say). This is the first time in my life I have been tempted by a car from the heart as opposed to the mind. The other reason is that my 4 and 7 year olds are out of car seats and I feel this is an ideal window of opportunity before their legs grow too long...
I am so excited about the thought of this car, the Japanese advert (boy and car) sums up how I feel...
I have actually been following this forum from a spectator point of view for 6 months now, but never really wanted to join in without a car 'on order' - bit too much like coming to a wife swapping party without the wife...
Cheers, Pillman

Hiya Pillman!
Well done on ordering the mazda's new 'OPEC' model RX-8!
I guess a 2nd ship will be in before febuary then?
If you only ordered now, and mazda had 1600+ preorders where does that leave supply for the rest of 2004? As there only shipping 2083 in the first 'year' or is that '2003', who knows...
If 2000 in 2003 then thats oct-dec, so around 8000 a year, sounds reasonable to me, and should still keep resale at a high level.

May the road rise with you...
Definitely a good colour choice.
You're lucky that you've missed several months of us waiting for our cars but unlucky because you'll have several months of us exhalting our cars before yours arrives!

I haven't posted much recently, but HELLO Pillman. Welcome to the throng of expectant owners.
Following the trend of Oilman, Specman, Pillman I should have been Cartman, but then I'd have to claim my best mates were Stan, Kenny etc and I'd be too young to drive the 8!!
