Depends on spec but in the UK the lo powered is £20k and hi is £22k. Once you add leather etc £24 is achievable.

2nd hand its a quiet time of year, some rx-8's are going for just under list price but theres not enough of a market yet to judge.

New as said base for 230 is £22k, with £1500 leather option etc it can get to £24 easy.

Are the prices for cars that already exist(stock new cars) or new car built to order from factory?

I went down my dealers yesterday lunchtime to look at their red demonstrator which they had fitted out with all the accessories (mine was the first RX8 delivered so I haven't seen them for real to decide) and surprisingly it was round the back with a sold sticker on it. The salesman wasn't in, but they recond it probably went for 22K but with leather and the accessories included.

I dont think you are going to find many genuine used cars (as opposed to ex-dealer) as the owners are so pleased with them, so the prices are going to remain high for now.

Cheers

Most ex-demo's will have had 200-300 miles on before any testes got their hanbds on them - and thrashing from new isnt to bad anyhow.

My demo drive car had 595 on the clock so I didnt feel to bad bouncing it of the rpm limiter...

Didn't all the dealers go off somewhere to thrash the cars around a track, before bringing it back to their respective dealerships as demos?

I wonder if any 2nd hand cars from Japan will find its way to the UK soon? The car been around since april there so I guess if youre just wanting a RX8 for a lower price thats the best guess?

I think there is thrashing and then thrashing.

I at times redlines my car and very often drove around the 6/7 k revs within the first 600 miles. But a demo will be trashed from cold with everybody wanting to do as much as possible in a 1/2 an hour test drive.

Yep - they all had a blast round Silverstone for the day IIRC.
