Went home last night to find my new RX-8 waiting for me outside the house.

After a few minutes carfully tearing away the protective outer wrappings I stood back and admired my new purchase.

I opened her up and carefully checked that everything was present and correct, then I went inside an prepared to start a new chapter in my life of vehicle ownership.

After showing my other half around the RX-8, pointing out all the styling cues and details I was ready to begin.

Taking a firm hold of one of the wheels (shod with what are clearly marked as Bridgestone Potenza Re117s) I proceeded to carfully remove it from the surrounding material with a sharp scapel. I then did this with all the remaining wheels.

After a further few hours of painstaking work with a fine brush and some paint, I was ready to assemble the front suspension and steering components.

Tonight I hope to complete the running gear and start on the leather upolstery.

Not done many miles yet, but so far haven't noticed any petrol usage at all.:D
