More RX8 on Top Gear?

Just had a call from my Leeds dealer to see if I wanted to see the RX8 in Manchester (blue pre-production model I've already seen).

He did mention though that he expected the RX8 to reappear on Top Gear either this or next week - being driven!

Probably wrong, but you never know.

Well, actually it might be true.

I heard the same rumour a few days ago. I dodn't post it in case topgear hadn't filmed it yet, and Mazda found out. But by now that must have happened if it is to appear this week.

I heard that there is going to be a review of the car being driven.

We've had not confirmation of this yet though,

Any chance MarkW could contact Mazda Uk and find out for us, I'd hate to miss it good or bad!

Cheers

jobbobjoe,

I did try and check with my friend who works on the programme but she had already gone on holiday so I couldn't get hold of her.

Just got a quick reply from Mazda (thanks), and they do not beleive the car will be on this week again as they definately havent driven it.

"They won't get a car to drive and review till September. They might do a more in depth walkaround from the footage they shot but I doubt this, we haven't heard from them that this will be the case. "

I have also checked the top gear TV web site for this week and it doesnt mention it, so I beleive this rumour to be untrue.

I was also informed of details of the new brochure and framed print as follows:

"the other thing I was going to mention is that the full official brochure and accessories brochure with price list will be sent to pre-order customers on the 2nd week of August. Framed prints will follow after that."

Something to look forward to in August

Doesn't look like RX-8 is on the show

Jeremy Clarkson climbs aboard a Bellagio Land Rover and takes a spin in a Hartage Mini. James May gets passionate over the Cadillac 16, and Richard Hammond enjoys the best of both worlds with an automobile which travels on land and water. Plus, advances in vehicle safety, the results of the vote for the world's greatest car, and Alan Davies of Jonathan Creek fame in a Reasonably Priced Car. Last in series

So to confirm, it wasn't on the show!

However that 1000 BHP (yes 1000) 13.6 litre (liter?) Cadillac was.

and that overfinch Range Rover that beat the Merk SLK 320 whilst it was offroad and the merc onroad in a straight line hahahahaah

Land Rover won the greatest car ever vote............Maclaren F1 2nd, Audi Quattro 3rd, Jag E Type 4th

Jodi Kidd won star in reasonably priced Car.....lol @ Jay Kays Evo @ Goodwood - someone wrote "Jodi is faster" in the dust on his bonnet......

Jodi Kidd's much prettier than JayKay anyway!

Let's hope they give the RX-8 as much attention as they gave the TVR today when it's back in the autumn.

Can anyone find out when the next series starts - Top Gear is by far the best motoring program on TV in the UK. I know someone who knows one of the cameramen so I will try and find out myself also and will post it here if I find out.
