Just ordered in UK!
Hi,
Just ordered in the UK. 240ps Black, Sat Nav and leather.
I currently have a 225 TT coupe, but like the idea of being able to carry more than midgets in the back. TT's are starting to soften price-wise also as their numbers increase.
Has anyone got any more information on the navigation system - I'm told it is like that of the mazda6, but cannot find much information or imagery on it...
Dealer (TW White) rekon I should get the car September or October - does this sound about right?
Ed

Well done Edo!
Still havnt placed my order, not in that much of a rush (want the car oct/nov realy).
I think your the only one thats chosen black that I can remember.
It'll be a bit of a different drive than the TT I bet

Welcome. I am also a TTC 225 owner looking for more space in the back. Once you have settled in I imagine you may have a few questions regarding the turbo versus rotary performance. Much has been coverered already (primarily through my questions) and a search of past threads will lead you there. Alternatively there is some good experience on this site and most you will find friendly.

Thanks folks. I have previously had Mx-5's and always been pleased with relaibility and dealers.
I love the TT, and they way it looks, but they are starting to be a bit too common these days! Performance-wise I find it spot on, my only real complaint being the lack of decent sound-track. I might have been tempted by the new V6 if it werent over 30k, and auto (DSG) only..
I was always a fan of the RX-7 but was put off by the engine reliability and the fuel consumption. I am slightly worried about fuel consumption - I have got 29 out of the TT in 10,000 miles without trying.
I am confident that the reliability will be ok, and since I have no plans to keep the car after warranty this doesnt concern me.
I expect the car to feel less torquey (is that a word?!) than the TT, and more S2000 in performance delivery, but given that it wont sound thrashy I dont mind this.
The pic below nailed the colour choice for me. I felt red a bit too flashy (in london) and am not a fan of silver or titanium. I may have gone for green if it had been available from day one.

Looks great I must say but having seen black cars on the road they can look less clean faster. Also, on the TTC black looses a lot of shape definition (IMHO)
Hence you may be our first order in black (se past thread). Fav colours seem to be red or tit grey.

Welcome Ed,
Good choice on the black, It would be my choice if I didnt have a black car already and love the Velocity Red so much.
If the red/black interior was available in the black I might have changed my mind. Also you dont have to pay the extra for metallic.
Here's a picture of the SatNav for you....

Welcome Edo to the Forum.
Firsty, you chose badly (see below)
Secondly, I'm baffled by all this talk of delivery dates. The yanks are going mad on the main forum as they now believe their cars won't arrive until July/August. As they were supposed to be May/June, where does that put ours!
We'll have to see. I hope it's worth the wait!!
Welcome again
Cheers

Thanks all.
Oilman - we'll have to agree to disagree! I'd be tempted by the red/black interior if I didnt have to have red on the steering wheel! unfortunately red may attract vandalim a bit more in london...
