Jayzz, there's a thread on the european forum somewhere on insurance. Basically dont write the car off from an insurance quote from Mazda. The Mazda insurance sucks - try Egg.

Or try 'e-sure' provided you have a full no claims bonus. They're very good. Different to Mazda costs that's for sure.

Sounds like another Mazda UK gaff because only a month or so ago they were celebrating on their website the fact that the RX8 is a 15 / 16. You have been well and truly shafted. Worth a call I think. My quotes have been really competitive, try Admiral.

Or try elephant.co.uk (better than egg if you don't live out in the sticks).

Have a look at this thread http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.p...threadid=5612.

£399 from Directline was my best quote at the time.

Also look at this site http://www.abi.org.uk/carinsurance/search.asp it will confirm the ratings.

elephant is the internet arm of admiral. They are generally cheaper than admiral. Im with admiral i will be changing. They wanted somewhere near 900 quid for the rx8 while esure and egg were around 500. My IS 200 is costing me around 750 which i will be changing when its due for renewal.

(churchill are also very very good.)

Also, try Direct Line as they provided me with a very competitive quote.

Wouldn't worry. Admiral are very good as has been said above. Got a quote for £450.

They also quoted only £560 for a Corvette:D

Oh, the dilema!!!

Wink

Yeah, If I had a corvette I'd be thinking of crashing it and claiming on the insurance too!
