i'm getting worried again

just checked out this thread on the main forum:

http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7339

the guy is 6'1" and couldnt fit comfortably.

i've ordered the sunroof which i know takes around 2" out of the headroom - so what i was wondering was if any of you guys that went to the dealer evenings are 6'1" plus and sat in a car with a sunroof?

incidently the guy that posted sounds an odd shape!

There are various threads on this issue with mixed results. I am 6' 1'' and I am worried too especially as I think I have short legs (32") and long torso. However, it has been suggested that with the seat right down and slightly angled back we should fit.

Nothing to do but wait really.

I wouldn't worry terribly... it's very dependant on your driving style/position, and the distribution of your height. If it's all in your legs, then the rear seat room sucks. If it's in your torso, then it's bad for headroom. Also, some people sit upright and straight and others (like myself) tend to pull the seat reclined a bit for comfort over longer periods of time.

I am 6 feet tall with a 34" inseam, and I fit fine in the car, and it's got room to spare for my head. But like I said... lots of variables in this.

6'3". Fit fine.

One point I raise don the main forum -
Could it be that electric leather trim does not adjust up/down as much as the manual cloth ?

Car I have sat in is the blue/cloth doing the rounds (no sunroof) and that is absolutely fine for me.
(Whereas an S2000 is not - so those who can drive them will be absolutely OK)

Morgan.

Oilman - Did the blue have leather and moonroof. Also, what is your inside leg measurement (if you don't mind me asking).

We seem to be similar height and lower torso so if you had 1'1/2'' spare above your head then I will fit.

I'm 6' 0'' and sat in one with a moonroof whilst in San Diego last week. I thought it was ok but felt if I was a couple of inches taller it would have been too close.
But as some one else posted, everyone is different, body/leg length (sure there are a few mutants on this forum).
I ordered a sunroof, maybe a tad optimistic living in Scotland...
