how long?

how long do most of you plan on keeping the 8; AND, how long do you keep your cars historically.

I tend to keep a 3 year cycle. With the 8 I'll leave it as stock for the first year, see what mods are rated and probably tweak it a bit after that (nothing extreme)

I've had my MX3 V6 for 5 years and I'm not even slightly bored with it yet. Now I've driven the RX8 and found it is a worthy sucessor I always knew it would be, so I'll have no problem hanging on to it for 5 years. Or at least until something even more compelling as the RX8 comes along, and that certainly doesn't happen often.

Cheers
---Dave

Probably 3 - 4 years as I usually look to sell my cars when they reach 100k miles on the clock! :o

I'm planning on keeping mine for ever, but I recently worked out that I could get my perfect plate in 05, namely PL 05 SEK. That means I'll need an new RX8 in a couple of years!

Stuck with my focus for 3 years.
If the RX-8 doesnt have any major flaws that force me to sell probably 3+ years at least.

I tend to keep cars until they die (never buy a used car from me). Current car I've had for 7 years (it was 2 years old when I got it). One before that 2 months (very cheap motor that exploded), and before that 5 years (rusted into the driveway)

So I intend to be buried in this one (hopefully after a very very long life)

Mental note to myself.
Preorder PL 05 SEK from DVLA in late 2004, keep it for 6 months, then look for a buyer....would you be interested ploszek????............LOL

Fine Specman - who'd want it but me or my Dad? To anyone else, it just looks like a normal plate. Once you've shelled out £499 for it, I'll offer you 50p.

Actually - Dad would probably get me in a bidding war for it, but he usually tops out at about a fiver.
