Question Extended tail pipes

Has anyone found on their cars that one exhaust tail pipe is protruding further than the other , as some of the guys in the US have found?

Working opposite a Mazda dealer last week in Bury St Edmunds and their demo had the same problem. One side stuck out an inch further than the other!!

Looked at the car after the sales guy had come back from his lunch (i.e. had moved the car) and the exhausts where back to normal!

Is it the length of the pipes, or is the whole unit moving?

Yes, saw this on the car I had my test in but was told it was because the sports exhaust was fitted (not properly presumably).
