Design flaw?

As not everyone gets onto the general discussion forum I thought I'd point out this thread which looks like a bit of a design floor on the RX8. Not sure there's much that we can do about it. Hopefully the leather will be affected less by this.

I usualy have my seat well leaned back so hopefully wont have the problem, but I would have though there will be an easy way to avoid the problem somehow?
