New Mazda Coupe

Looks like mazda are eventualy going to build an MX-5 Coupe!

Launched in Japan in December, 1.8 146bhp, much stiffer than the normal MX-5, looks shweet too!

Not going to tempt me away from the 8 but nice car mazda!

If you notice the little details, it seems to be a "baby FD"

Looks nice though.....

Hi,

Did you get the pictures from the web? Are there any more detailed images. I would like to have a more detailed look if anyone can help?

looks like a baby MX-6,

(as an aside i've been wondering if the 8' is a more suitable successor to the MX-6 than the RX-7, yes I know there's a fairly fundamental engine difference but both are smooth, refined and dynamically interesting 4 seaters?)

It does look nice. A few bits look a bit too "stuck-on" though, which I'm not too keen on - like the light covers and those wheel arch trims... :/

Looks ok - apart from the colour and the add-on spoilers...
Doesnt look like the whole boot opens - suggesting that boot space wont be much better than an MX5..

Might as well have a 5 with a hard top...

I agree KEF.

There souldn't be that much difference to the feeling of the 2.5 litre engine I have, as Mazda massaged the torque curve in that engine to make it flatter. The quitness and those extra 2000 revs should take it to another level though.
Not to mention vastly improved weight distribution.
