Delivery Month Letter
Mine arrived this morning, in August as Mazda promised.
My delivery month is November as expected. Thought we should have a poll to see what the overall dates are:

December for the 'low power', what are the chances that i'll get a date sometime between the 24th and 31st, and be told i'll have to wait until January for the dealer to reopen?!
Also disgusted at the lack of apology. As far as i can see this letter is a waste of time. With no firm date to work to what makes it any more definate than the letter i received last month saying 'November'? As i seem to recall, that letter was more defining than this one, didn't it say 'late' October for High Power and 'mid' November for low? What are the chances that another letter is being drafted as we speak saying 'Spring 2004', again with no apology!
The thing is my company agreed to shell out for a hire car for me, FOR 3 MONTHS! I joined them in June, and ever since i have been having to ask for it to be extended. Not exactly the best way to start off. Plus even a base vectra on corporate rate is over £800/month, which is considerably more than the allowance i'm entitled to. I wouldn't be surprised if they tell me they are going to stop it soon and give me the allowance.
Mazda are friggin useless.

Well I guess we could argue its people power - and to be fair, they HAVE posted us a letter. It means that the last prod run COULD have been 3 weeks late, and this be brushed aide, however we DO have Chris Twines' note which says otherwise.
So
- Nothing about WHEN we get the print (unlike last letter which stated August)
- Not a delivery DATE as stated, just a month.
other than that, re-notification that the car did win international engine of the year, and the free prodrive day and that a prodrive rep will be in contact "soon" to arrange the date.
Overall, I am neutral to slightly happy on this letter, as something DID come out, however rushed, and with limited info. Mazda are therefore listening.

December for me and my low power
They did originally say a month later for the low powers (was not so bad when delivery was July) but there has been talk of all the 1000 pre-orders coming together, I was even told this by the Mazda rep at the preview event.
I just hope it early December and the second production run is not delayed as badly as the first.
I would have ordered a hi power if I'd known they would be this late
No point getting upset but I am not happy
