Oops made a right pigs ear of that, don’t know how to make it smaller, I'm not an IT guy...
No need to bore you with a lengthy review, but the main points of the 30 mile drive home, (read this, Autocar..):
Lack of torque? Not an issue, pulls nicely if not F1-like.
Body roll? Total *******s.
The best thing about it is the noise, its just fantastic above 3/4k and anyone trying to save petrol is missing out big time.
Just awesome and I love it already. I have driven some decent machinery (also drive a Lotus), and this tops the lot. An absolute gem of a car.
By the way I stalled it first time out and kept forgetting what gear I was in. By the time I got home I'd just about mastered that (hopefully)
Enjoy!

Remember guys delivery order isn't EP order and thank God isn't date of ordering/putting down deposit. Shares can go down as well as up, and it looks like Black, silver and standard tit cars are first. But Mazda said these colours would be first all along didn't they - at least theres consistency there (for a change). I guess that the leather and satnav would always come later logically, and the dealers ARE giving them out in order of date of ordering from them, which is also fair.
Guess I'm biased though, but it does seem to make sense too.

OK, half way through a weekend of RX8 ownership and it just gets better. This car is an absolute dream to own for loads of reasons. Beautiful ride and handling, the noise it makes is orgasmic, it turns more heads than Anna Kournikova. The most common word I have heard from my friends / family to describe it is 'gorgeous'. OK I dont think my MPG is gonna be that good but it hasnt flooded yet. Its a joy to drive on open roads, motorways, towns, heavy traffic, you name it. Driving position is superb, gear change is superb, brakes fantastic, i really havnt got a bad word to say about this car and I think you will all love it more than your wives / children.
Enough for now,

Simonr,
Which dealer is this? I ordered from Docklands Mazda in Jan and my car has just arrived. I had a test drive on Saturday and loved it, but I'm probably not going to keep mine. I'm probably going to quit my job at the end of the year to set up a new venture and do very little driving anyway, so I can't really justify the expenditure.
I've got a private plate so I'm trying to avoid taking a hit of £350 (£100 cancellation plus plate). Fortunately I've got a couple of friends who are dead keen and will probably take it at cost price (put an ad in Autotrader yesterday too).
