Has anyone managed to enter a security code for the CD changer in the RX8? I followed the procedure for holding down the two buttons mentioned but nothing happens. I've tried with the ignition key in all positions.

Also the manual mentions an electrical connection socket (cigarette lighter thing) in the centre storage compartment (where the passenger airbag disable is). Mine doesn't seem to have one. Anyone know why?

Look for the "*on some models2 bit., I guess ours isnt some models.

 

It's hidden behind the flap that is positioned below the heater controls.

 

There is one there, but manual, and demo car had one in the centre console, where our front airbag switch off is also.

 

No one tried to set the security code on the CD changer yet then?

(I guess it is a bit far into the manual! )
