Car meeting confusion

There are a lot of messages of regional car events with the dealers inviting the pre-orders.

My dealer also invited me to 'an event' but he called it the UK launch at which he would pick up his demo which we could drive back being held in Bishop Stortford on Sat 19th July. Anybody heard about that one and is he getting it mixed up with just another regional 'blue' car showing (although he did think his demo would be there?)?

AFIC the 'roadshow' is just to see a car, probably the blue pre-production model doing the rounds.

Dealer gets a number of slots, 'talks' to preorders, fills slots, tells Mazda who/where customer are, mazda send out tickets (etc).

I dont believe any dealer will get a demonstrator until sept/oct at earliest.

(my roadshow event is 2nd August).

Methinks your dealer is getting a little confused. My dealer has been told that no dealers will be getting demonstrators before the first customers cars are delivered. Probably another example of Mazda's great communication skills.:p

I agree, this may have been the intention before the delivery dates were announced.

Although if Mazda are planning to surprise us with the delivery of our own cars at these events I will gladly take back every cynical thing I have said.

I hope they are not surprising us with delivery as I haven't been invited to one of these events.
