Finally, I have got a test drive booked for Monday 22nd Sept.

My dealer (Exeter) seem to be unable or unwilling to get a car for their 14 orders to have a look at . So a couple of weeks ago I rang the dealer in Bristol on the off-chance that they would have a car.

I was informed that they are indeed having a car (well a High Power and a Low Power) from the 19th for 10 days.

A couple of phone calls later (promptly return by them I have to add) I have a test drive booked.

Many thanks to June of Eastgate Mazda for arranging this, she even telephoned other test drivers to ask them to swap their times so that they could fit me in.

I was also informed that if I wanted to swap my order to them I could do this with no impact on my delivery date. I am very tempted to do this, although the dealer is a bit further away from me the customer service I have received so far has far surpassed the dealer I originally selected. To offset the distnace they said they could deliver the car to my door, I don't know if this is by transporter or actually driving the car to me, but I will check it out.

After 6 months plus of waiting and the past few weeks of envoiusly reading all of the rave test drive reviews I only have another 10 days to wait.

strange that another dealer is so keen to help you out?
seems to be that once they've actually got your order they kind of loose interest.
anyway, hope it works out well in the end.

 

my mother uses eastagte for her mx5, and has only ever had praise for their freindly and helpful staff.
