Autocar this week state that half of the 2000 UK allocation has been sold (old news), mainly of the Hi power variant, so they claim there are potential discounts on the Low power one! They still claim late September for delivery.
I feel a letter to Autocar coming to let them know the real truth.

Great idea - why don't we slag off Mazda et al publicly - thats SURE to keep the residuals up.

 

The main point of the story is that half of the years allocation has been sold so no discounts are likely to be available at least on high power which is the majority of the production, and that therefore early residuals will be good.

This sort of publicity is good for the RX8 and all those who are buying it, so I wouldnt complain too much!

 

What a stupid quote, how can there be discounts on cars that are'nt even in production yet, based on the popularity of a car that is been built to customer order. There won't be any discounts because there won't be surplus cars!

 

Giggsy, don't ask me, ask Autocar why they've put the stupid quote in their rag!

Anyone got the mag and a scanner ?
