Didnt bother to mention anything as I wasn't sure if everyone had received their copy.

A few things of note:

Brands Hatch Circuits Ltd have chosen the RX8 as their training car for their Racing Experience track days (They're buying 30)

A nice article on driving the RX8 on Scotland roads and "wide open spaces"

A brief article on the Prodrive "owners days"

And thats about it for the RX8!

Cheers Murphy,

Had visions of something big (or a price reduction coming along!!) and thought as usual I'd miss out as have already ordered new RX for next March.

The fact I'm also Scottish has nothing to do with the hopeful price reduction!!!

Thanks for the info,

Doogy

No problem Doogy.

On a price reduction I think there is zero chance in the near future. The car is very keenly priced as is.

I was at the Scottish Motor Show this weekend and although Mazda were not there, the Arnold Clark dearship chain was showing a Red "low power" RX8, with the black/red leather interior.
People were all over it like flies round the proverbial sh*t!
I lost count of the number of people I heard comment on the price (£20k in this case) and what a great deal it was.

Finally got a good look at both the Crossfire and 350Z. Preferred the 350Z to the Crossfire (nasty interior) but was a bit underwhelmed by the 350Z. To me, it seemed like a large, angular TT. Just my opinion!

Hi Murphy,

Was only kidding on the price thing!!! Realise the car is priced really well and with all the standard kit is a bit of a bargain (although I did not tell my dealer I thought that when haggling P/X price!).

Haven't seen the 350z or Crossfire in the flesh, photos of Crossfire make it look quite `squashed` at the rear and never really been a Nissan (Datsun) fan and had heard/read on US forums the 350z is pretty poorly finished inside. They are both a few £000 more expensive and I've set a limit on what I want to spend.

Have had 2 MX5s and they've both proved reliable, cheap to run and need minimum maintenance. Realise the RX will cost more to run but that's not a problem. Just wanted a car that's `different` in so may ways from the standard box on wheels these days and the 8 certainly seems wildly different!

Hope you are enjoying your car if you've got it yet but if not wish you all the best when it arrives.

Cheers

Doogy

Good for you Doogy - you are indeed a man after my own heart.

I've seen the crossfire and the internal space is terrible.

However, it looks ok from both the front and rear. Preferred the 350z but as you say, the interior finish is not a patch on the 8.

oh and we get 2 more seats too which is of course a godsend - or else I'd still have my Red '5 (standing by)
