All's gone quiet on the delivery front
Last month we heard that most of us would get our RX-8's in November hooray!!!
Since then I've not heard much new Booooo!
We've had the odd report of our ship/s leaving Hiroshima Hooray!!
And then we talk to the dealers and none of them can really confirm Booooo!!
RX-Late posts a ship tracking site Hooray!!
And then admits it's all a hoax Boooo!!!
Any one got any idea what is going on?

I think that we are due another letter this month (probably the 30th) telling us a delivery date, how accurate this is going to be we can only speculate.
Everyday I ring my wife to get her to check the post (as I leave for work a long time before it comes and she is at home all day) hoping that there will be a letter arriving stating 1st November or earlier for my delivery date.
Chris
(6 days and counting for my test drive)

Would one of the senior members who have contacts into the heart of Mazda be kind enough to find out:
1. Estimated arrival of the ship
2. Estimated time from arrival to clear customs etc.
3. Who exactly is going to be one of the lucky first owners.
Cheers

In defense of MazdaUK - they are doing everything they have said -
We don't expect to have this information yet.
Whilst we are all frustrated , they told us we would be assigned dlivery month in August - we were.
They have agreed to write to us again in Spetember with an exact delivery date - so we have to assume they will.
I am as frustrated as the next man - but they are within their announced information flow, we just have to wait a couple more weeks. That is when the fun will really start - "Why is my car 3 weeks later than so-and-so car , I ordered 4 months earlier etc etc...."
So - While we may get an answer on 1 and 2 above , I suspect 3 will only be satisfied at the end of September.

Agree with morgan, as long as I get a letter in the next 14 days that says you car is due on xxxx etc I will be happy.
I dont know how accurate they are going to be, maybe we will get a delivery week, as it would be difficult tying it down to an actual day.
I think we may get some "why is he getting his car before me" though, as we dont know the actual criteria for delivery apart from they are in some sort of order.

It would still be good to know (as a matter of interest) due date of boat, average time taken to clear customs etc.
We're not asking for tied down dates just estimated timescale.

and I didn't really mean to be negative by starting up this thread ....
I'd like us all to get excited about how close it's getting ....
Tracking the ship/s across the globe as they get closer to us would be kinda fun ....
In fact ... it would get us all to realise that it really does take 31 days to get from Japan, so we should all be a little more patient whilst we track them.
