All this moaning.....

...is driving this forum to depression. Let's be realistic and stop wasting our breath.

We all want the car or compensation and we all know we can suck on that. Mazda will deliver when they will and the few 8 orders on this forum blowing hot compared to the massive UK demand is not going to sway them to do either, we do not have the purchase power. If we represented 75% of all orders it would be different but we represent less than 5% (1600 orders @5% = 80), in reality probably less than 2.5%.

So stop knocking your head against the wall, either accept that this is the price to pay for putting in an early order for a car without a firm launch and delivery date or cancel. But this constant moaning on this forum is getting a bit sad.

But we British like to moan! I remember an Aussie friend telling me a joke ... "How do you know when a plane full of Brits has just landed? - Well, when the switch the engines off you can still hear a whining sound!"

And also, let's be honest. If we all stopped moaning, there'd probably be about 3 posts a day in this forum!

Does the Customer not have the right to complain?

I run my business on the basis "the Customer is always right"!

Works well for me.

Oilman - you can complain but it is clear that it is falling on deaf ears. As said if we represented a larger order percentage then they may.

Also, be prepared for more delays, I'm mentally banking on Jan '04.

Rael,

Surely not!

I think November will be realistic, especially if the boat has left already.

Let's keep everything crossed then.

Cheers

Oilman - Worse case scenario and stop calling me Shirley! :D

In that way I can cope with further delays and I may even hold off for March delivery then.

It would be good to seperate all the moaners out to be honest. I'm just patiently waiting for mine because I know when I get it it will be awesome.
I've already seen one in the flesh and sat in it. If you haven't yet then you will forget all the crap going on here when you finally get yours - trust me.
I'm changing my M3 for an RX-8 - that to me is a measure of how good it really is. :o
I understand that everyone has got their place but as mentioned previously we all ordered a car without a firm production date nor delivered date so what did you expect?
The car has been a huge success already. let's just chill.

Agreed..

And a lot of people are acting like this is the first delivery delay in history, and how dare Mazda not deliver when expected. There's plenty of other cars out there that have been delayed in reaching their markets...

Think what all those poor Focus RS pre-orderers must have been like????

Forum getting stale

Agreed - its certainly driving me nuts - stop all of the whining and get on with more concrete stuff.

We know it's arriving in November (onwards); we know that they've cocked up, some of us may be in a slight predicament regarding trade-ins etc. but so what. - It's not the end of the world and it's only a car.

Test drives can be obtained (contact your dealers), and that is the bottom line. - If you like that car . . . . then wait. If you don't then get something else.

Mazda aren't bothered, if 1000 of us cancel the orders there will be 1000 more to take them.

Blunt but true, - lets use this forum for the facts - like we used to.

We've all seen one in the metal thanks. A lot of people have very justifiable complaints and remember: if it wasn't for the so called 'moaners' then Mazda NA wouldn't have capitulated on the bhp issue.

Everybody is entitled to their opinions agreed but as I said there does seem to be far too much moaning on this site now.
Lots of people are now asking for the moaning to be seperated from the more important stuff.
Yes, I give people there place if they wish to complain but a lot of the complaints are repeated every day.
Yes, we know that Mazda promised this and promised that and didn't deliver on some aspects. They have redressed the balance with other offers.
I didn't order the '8 just for the sake of it being fast I did it because it's an all new exciting, different looking car. So what it's down on power/torque, looks like with the knowledge on this site we will redress the situtation very soon with modifications/upgrades.

Anywayz, respect to all.

Sorry I must have missed this, what other offers?

We have to accept that some people will voice their discontent when others don't and that some people have higher expectations than others and are therefore more disappointed.

I think it brings a nice balance to the forums when some people complain and then others try to put on the positive spin. If we stop anyone from posting gripes / complaints then the forum becomes imbalanced for new visitors looking for an impartial viewpoint.
