Alarm
Did anyone who has had a test drive in a UK car investigate the alarm/imobiliser- what's it like? Does it have interior/ultrasound alarm too?
I forgot to ask about it when I had a drive - one of several things that slipped my mind in the enjoyment of it all!

Tracker... maybe, but not the mazda 'deal'.
Anyone know about the interior alarm... I had my Celica's alarm tweaked so that it sounded if anyone got within an inch or so of the glass... worked a treat! No-one wanted to park too close to it in the carpark at work... RESULT! :D

I doubt the mazda alarm will 'see' outside the car.
My current car is convertible and I had a 2-stage radar based alarm fitted. It gives wraning beeps if people get too close (within a few inches). The full alarm only sounds if they stick anything into the car itself (ooh errr).
Works a treat and doesn't matter if the windows are open or roof down. Much better than the ultrasonic ones. But standard fit appears to always be ultrasonic.

jimbobjoe - do you have the manufacturer's name? Sounds like the sort of thing I might be interested in... makes more sense than the whole thing firing up when someone gets too close!
