I really shouldnt still be in TN in April. But if for some reason my recovery has complications and I dont go back to Belgium long before.... **** it I'd come. It's only a couple hours from home anyway. I wouldn't have my car, and I'd be on crutches. But if I'm here in April I'm gonna NEED to get out of the house...

yeah joel i want to get a trailor for mine. i'm not sure what the situation is yet. there was talk for me to double trailor with a couple people but its all on the fence since its so expensive to go.....its like a 15 hour trip from here lol

Im thinkin about coming an bringing my bro and wife...I've been trying to figure out a good spot for lodging though, do most of ya'll stay at the place that is hosting it or in gatlinburg and drive down to it?

 

a lot of people stay at the actual resort, but it's most likely booked full by now.

I stayed at the microtel in bryson cty (5 miles from the resort) last year, and it was nice. several florida guys stayed there last year with us.

 

I looked at that one online...might be a good option, we were thinking about bringing one of our dogs with us so we may look for a dog friendly.

 

If you registered, call NVNC anyhow. Last year, they were able to work with local lodges to give similar deal as NVNC themselves (free night when booking friday and saturday).

Also, as of now, there is a HUGE caravan forming in ATL. People from AL, GA, FL, LA, MS, are planning to meet in ATL and head up on thursday afternoon.

OH.. And we are making history here... less than 2 weeks, we have over 120 people signed up for DGRR 2011.

I am keeping track of the above forum and will try to find more ppl. If I do this trip I believe I would stop at least 1 time along the way tough. Is there any topics related to Florida residents? I am having a hard time finding through the search engine.

 

I'm sure you can join the 7 group coming up from FL.

As of now, I know people from Miami/West Palm are heading up and meeting a group in Gainesville, FL.

It might be worth the drive to Gainesville and roll up with them.

Oh, And I know some people from Tampa, FL rolling up also.

Ultimately, we will be meeting up in Atlanta, GA for a huge 2-3 hour caravan to DGRR location. We are guessing 50+ cars will roll from ATL... including myself
