2004 Mazda Rx8 GT Manual – MANY extra’s!

This Mazda RX8 has 144,000km and was owned by a car enthusiast who loved every aspect of this car. Oil changes done every 3000km with seafoam decarb and spark plug maintenance every year. The car is very clean and in great condition cosmetically inside and out. Extensive modifications all of which were properly done and with purpose for increasing reliability and performance - no expenses spared.

The car has great engine compression, and the transmission has no issues whatsoever – HOWEVER – the car does burn a lot of oil currently. I have come to a point in my life where I cannot spend much time anymore on my toys, and I’ll have to sell this car as-is. I’m not entirely sure what the problem is, as the car does drive very well all the way to red-line with great pickup, but there is a lot of blue smoke indicating it is burning oil (NO white smoke or coolant smell! Just oil). I’m not sure if the Oil Metering Pump has failed or what the issue is but I don’t have time to figure this out.

- Car starts right up, with no hot start issues
- Good Compression engine
- Revs all the way to redline smoothly and with authority
- Transmission works perfectly
- 2 owner Canadian car
- 1 previous accident on passenger front side with zero issues or damage to frame (all cosmetic)
- No other issues aside from burning oil
- Full service records, purchase history, parts receipts
- Recent Alignment done

I am asking $6500 for everything. I may consider parting out performance modifications and returning to stock if there is not much interest in trying to fix the problem. Feel free to make an offer if you want the car factory stock without modifications. Located on the west end of Toronto.

List of Modifications (prices did not include labor costs):

• Full Racing Beat exhaust including, headers and resonated mid-pipe ($2000 + taxes and shipping)
• Racing Beat Rev-8 with racing duct ($630 + taxes)
• Cobb Accessport ECU tune ($600)

For those interested in parts - feel free to PM to reserve a part for partout so that I'll know what to return to stock, if it should come to that. Until then I'm open to offers on the entire car as is

I feel like you are pricing it too low.

A part out might work out better, return to stock, trade the car in if you can.

Well thank you for that! I did intentionally price it a bit low because I'd really like to have someone enjoy the car as is if they can get it working again - it's also a bit of a pain to have everything removed again. So if I can get it sold all at once, I'm willing to sacrifice money for time.

The Mazdaspeed strut bar, Remedy pump + thermostat, are sold. Everything else is still up for grabs, but I haven't posted items yet since I haven't gotten them off the car to take pictures (which board rules stipulate is a must)

Feel free to PM if you have an interest in anything listed and reserve your 'buying status' for the part
