Sorry Neo can't do next weekend.

Actually I'm off to San Fran for the remainder of the Year starting in July so I'm basically AFK until 2010.

See you guys in January.

Thunder!

That's fine by me. Next Sun. it is. I'll be there around 10am. Gotta start early and hopefully finish fast because it is Fathers day after all. I'll have to go up to Aurora to see my Old man later in the day. Probably for dinner.

This sort of thing can be done in 4hrs, right?

wcs,

How come you get to see such nice places??? I love Cali. I wish I could go back soon.

well thats been the plan all along i thought. well we were hoping to do the gauges tomorrow too, but the parts havent arrived. So yeah, carm's springs. your fluids and stuff. Anything else? I've got all my tools so we should be set for whatever we decide to do.

and scott, as for alternative dates, i dont think next satruday will work for me either. it's my birthday, so its booked. sorry. the following weekend? Its not something i want to try and tackle on a weeknight so its gotta be on a weekend.

Oh, and jay. make some room in your car for you straight pipe. I've been tripping over it for a while now. lol.

Ok. Here's what I'm prepared to do.
I really wanted to get the fuel pump installed on the FD but since the weather has turned for the worse (again!), I can scratch that, and get together with you guys to install the springs tomorrow.

Does that work for everyone??

I'll be out to a wedding reception for the evening. So I'll check the forum again when I get back.

not to be a negative nancy...but two springs in 1 day....

lets say its a 4 hour job (in a perfect world). so thats 8 hours for the two cars, plus jays stuff. And thats if everythign goes smoothly. count on like 5 hrs for each miata for little snags along the way and say 2 hours on Jays car (which i think is sort of a priority this weekend. we've been putting jays stuff off for way too long)....I dont want to promise we can do it and end up not having time.

We'll make a day of it. lol

Lets see how things go. We'll get Jays stuff done first. And then move onto the other things.
As long as everyone is working as a team, I don't see why we can't get things done.
But I know what you're saying. You never know what we'll run into.
We'll start early. Say 9:30 or 10. This way we'll have enough time to get everyhing done and eat something along the way.

I think it's doable. We did alot the last time we got all together. We just gotta stay focused and get the stuff done.

well thats fine as long as its fine by scott. i dont want to say "ya sure, we'll get it done" and then it gets too late to do it for whatever reason. Also, problem with starting with Jays car. hes always late! lol. I was planning to be at scotts house for 9am...scott, chime in here. It's your place and we need to know what you are up for.

Yeah, I know what you mean. These brown people always run on a different time schedule than the rest of the world. lol

Who says you're doing this all by yourself anyways??? The rest of us are just going to watch and point?? lol

Yes, since it's Scott's place he should call the shots.

Lets say this. If enough of us show up at 9:30ish, we'll start with whatever we need to get done with the cars that show up at that hour. Sounds good???

You guys post too much. Neo, rent a compressor. We can work on yours, while Greg does Carms.

Ok, Jay, be at my place at 9am and we can get your stuff done first. We can then do springs. Jay and Chris work on Chris' car and Greg and I work on Carm's. All goes well, we'll be done later afternoon. If you can't make it first thing Jay, Gerg and I will get started on Carm's car.

Chris, would be good to rent a compressor for CT so we can work on the two cars at the same time...

That's great news guys.
I thought we couldn't do 2 cars because there weren't enough people or something. I already had in mind to rent the compressor. Didn't know that Greg had one.

Yes, I'll rent 1 from crappy tire tomorrow before getting to Scott's. I should be there for 9am. Better to start early so I can have a bit of the afternoon with my girl.

Do I just walk into Crappy tire and say where do I rent a spring compressor??

See you guys tomorrow morning.

4 of us (Neo, Rotory Greg, zmfnzm and myself) put new springs on two different MX5's at my place today. Finished by 3pm, no bad! Had some time to enjoy some BBQ, the HT and a visit from Jo Nah, another local member.

Was a great day all around. Thanks for all of the help guys!!!
