Yet another install weekend??
Hey guys,
So as some of you know, I finally got the springs for the Miata in.
I was hoping I could do the install this weekend, but that's not going to happen. Too many other events getting in the way.
So I was thinking we can tackle this the next weekend. The weekend of the 20th.
The people who have done this, can I get a little help? I think Pros and wcs did spring installation a few weekends ago??
Thanks,

because a sports car, no matter how feminine it is, should never have as much wheel gap as stock miatas do. period.
lol, you know i kid chris. your miata is cool in my books.

That's great to hear.
So we've got a few people in need of parts install.
Greg,
I'm sorry buddy. Weekends are the only time I can get things done on these vehicles. If you can make it, great. If not, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure the other guys can manage.
Rev,
Yes, I figured out what's wrong with the FD. The new fuel pump arrived yesterday. Picking it up and I'm hoping to have some time this Sun. to install it. She'll be ready to go then.
MyRxBad,
Yes, I got springs for the Miata. The car sits crazy high at stock levels. Unacceptable for such a capable platform. Bringing her down to a resonable height will improve everything!
The FD is my nice weekend car. Can't be racking up too many km's on her. She's not doing so bad. 15yrs old and she's only got 147k on the clock.
So, the next question is, do you guys want me to host this at my place, or is someone elses place a more reasonable destination? *cough*Thunder*cough*
Also, for the guys who have done spring installs, what exactly is required? Does anyone have tools that are needed or will I have to go rent something?
It's official. Weekend of the 20th is when we'll get this stuff done. Hopefully the weather plays in our favor.
Thanks everyone!

Neo, you need spring compressors to do it safely (ie without shooting a compressed coil through a wall!)
Canadian tire rents them out for a small deposit (you get it back when you return them)
Other than that, just a jack, some jack stands and a good socket set.
Once i can fully confirm i'm coming i will bring a set of sockets, jack, and 4 stands if you need them.

Kevin, got your msg, haven't read it yet, been checking the site using the phone.
I rather an install meet this weekend, as discussed with thunder and greg last week.
I wanna do fluids, my lines, and just relax with the HT.
Sunday of course.

I wanted to do it this weekend. But there's too many things happening.
Tomorrow I have a wedding to go too.
And Sun. I want to get the FD on the road again. Maybe, I can get the fuel pump install, and swing by the BBQ place to see what everyone is up too. At least get some KM's on the car. Eat up the fuel that's been sitting in there for the past 6 months.
But the big install has to be done next weekend.
Thanks zmfnzm.
I'll make sure to rent that nice piece of hardware.

Everyone is welcome at my place this Sunday and next Sunday. This Sunday, I need to install Mx5 springs and possibly SOHN device. Next Sunday, custom gauge POD goes in, hopefully. From the sounds of things, there are lots still to install on other cars as well...
As Jay suggests, we can fire up the BBQ

Thunder,
Thanks for the offer. Is everyone alright with this?
I take it you're busy on Sat.? I only ask because Sun.'s usually get tight if there are more than a few of us trying to get things installed.
You got springs for your wife's Miata??
