You're nuts Footman!

I switched out the tires this past weekend. And well worth it.
The car feels so much more squarrely though. It's unfortunate...

Stupid winter!

If I still had my winter tires, I would have put them on yesterday. Forecast not looking good for the next 2 weeks, highs of 4-10°, one day 14° yipeee. I'll driving the beater tomorrow as the 8's in for final service and really good detail. Miss her already, man, I hate the VIBE what a piece of crap! Vibe going in the end of the week for snows, a recall, and a oil change and I'll be back in the 8 few more time before she goes for her long sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ April 1, 2010 will not come soon enough!

Looks like my cruise is off, just to F@#king COLD so that make the Sherway meet it for this year. What about the Go-Karting!

This is why I abhor the thought of the corolla beater.. I've already driven Natalia through 2 winters... we have so much history and good memories together sliding in the snow.. why stop here?

Ya what is up with this cold *** weather already. Snow at my cottage on the weekend = FAIL!!

Have lined up a beater, hoping all goes well should have it by this weekend. Keeping the 8 out until after the 25th as I still want to race at shannonville. But if it's going to be crap weather it will most likely get stored that weekend instead. Here's to hoping.

"Natalia" mine's just "Her" or "She"

Hello everyone...I like to drive my RX8 in the winter, specially with the GS model, NO TRACTION CONTROL to spoil all the fun !! I have put the winter tires on already last week end since the temperature is getting pretty low, I worked early morning, so like this, I am not scare of black ice...This car get handle snow like no other cars can, specially with excellent winter tires like Blizzak, like Big John McCarty in the UFC say Let's bringing it on !!!

Here, I'll spell it out!

Natalia is the name you seem to have for your 8. I just call mine Her or She.

Next Line A Quote:
As Rumpole of the Bailey always said: "She Who Must Be Obeyed"

Mystery books and a PBS TV series.
Rumpole of the Bailey is a fictitious english lawyer who works at London's Famous Court THE BAILEY and when ever he speaks of his wife it generally followed by:"She Who Must Be Obeyed". But in my case "She" is my car (What my car wants/needs it gets.)

Sorry, sometimes things with me are not Black & White. Like I did not know what a F.O.B. was, so I looked it up. This internet thingy is an amazing tool and did you know it's been around since late 1970's.

Foot, I'm just f@#king with you. Oh yea I started a sentence with "But" this is really bad grammar, but WTF.

I'm ready as I will be for winter.

I put my snows on Thursday (Michelin Alpin PA3s, 215/50/17s) and washed and waxed her this weekend. Also traded out the carpet floor mats with rubber.

The dry handling is still very good with these tires, hopefully they'll also work well in snow and ice.

Just washed and wax my car over this weekend =) It looks much better now with a pretty good shine on it after 2-3 layers of wax!! I'll probably be handwashing the car periodically over the winter so keep the salt and other things off the car, since i keep it in a underground parking lot

Also finally got my new set of tires and rims for dirt cheap (Pirelli P6s all-season 245/45/18 - 93V - for approx $250 altogether, rims were $200 for all 4 with kumho tires of which 2 are dead)! i don't have summer tires yet though >.>...

i'll be switching to my winters when it gets even colder, maybe mid-late november? The all-seasons are still handling perfectly fine and I'm still gripping completely even in the morning when it's still pretty cold.

I attached a few photos of the car now taken with my crappy camera on the phone ><

so footman, are you taking the corolla? or still driving Natalia?

I just got my RX8 a few weeks ago and I'm just about to put snows on.. I figure getting them on before Nov 1 should be good enough. I'll be rolling on Nokian Hakkapeliitta R snow tires.

Mid November seems pretty good. I'm still running on summers now and managed to survive the cold blast we had a few weeks back. Temperatures are now back up to seasonal! YAY!

i don't want to put on my ugly winter tires =( i like my rims right now, and love how the rear wheels have almost no grip XD so on a wet day, i can easily send the rear out if i want.

I'll probably switch once it's consistently around 5 or so or when it snows lol

4th layer of wax going on this weekend. Wax is good for winter of course! reduces salt damage!
