Winter Tire Swap Dilemma

Okay so im in a bit of a dilemma here. I have on stock rx8 rims with summer tires on right now. But now that winter is coming i bought a set of g35 rims. However the seller wasnt able to remove the tires (his buddys machine broke) so he agreed to let me take the rims and tires home as long as i bring back his tires when i put MY winter tires on the rims. So the g35 rims and tires are at my house right now. My winter tires came in and i have to pick them up soon. The shop that im getting everything swapped is 5 minutes away from the store i bought my tires from.

So here is where i am having a hard time deciding wtf to do. Im planning on doing the swap this thursday. Orginally i wanted to put all 4 g35 rims + tires in my 8. Drop those off at the shop. Go to the store to pick my winter tires then go BACk to the shop to have everything swapped and mounted. Problem is that id have to make 2 trips back. Because 4 rx8 rims with tires on them AND the sellers 4 tires will not both fit.

So i was thinking of getting someone (a buddy) to come over .... to take off my rx8 wheels leave them at home and put on the g35 rims and the tires that are on them and use those to go to the shop. That way i wont have to make a trip back. HOwever, here is the problem... Not sure if 245 45 18 tires will fit on my 8 without rubbing. Im on stock suspension but when i put the wheels beside my rx8s wheels it looks like its giong to rub. ALSO !!! On one of the tires it came with... there is a nail punctured in the thread area. Imm kind of concerned if i get them swapped at home that while i drive with one of the tires punctured that i might get screwed over.

I know it seems like im doing all this because of one extra trip but its not only that. I hate putting 4 heavy rims+tires in my 8. First of all because my passenger air bag light goes on and because well its proabbly not good for the suspension.

Sorry for the long postssss . Any thoughts ?

Thanksss

Seriously, man...the 4 rims and tires weigh less than my wife and daughter who are in my car all the time.

Hell, they may weigh less than my wife alone.

Dude, you're insane..

1) 4 tires+rims is not heavier than seating 4 adults to which the rx8 is designed to do. Each tire+rim <50Lb each.

2) Your passenger tire light come on. So what? What does this have any bearing with the winter tire swap?

3) The store is 5 minutes from each other. Load the rims in your car, drive there in stock wheels on your 8. Drop the rims at the shop. Go pick up your rubber, go back to the shop. Mount your tires on your G35 rims. Take the tires and drive them to the owner. Come back to the shop and pick up your own stock rims/tires and go home.

Why this is even a thread puzzles me... you're not in high school right?
There is no dilemma buddy... it's a dilemma when your car is as fucked up as Mazda_0804's

Your passenger airbag light probably goes on when you put a rim+tire on the passenger seat to let you know that due to the lack of weight on the seat, the airbag is disabled. Many cars have that safety feature of disabling the passenger airbag in case there is a kid sitting in the front seat - they do that based on passenger weight. Wouldn't surprise me if the 8's had the same feature (I'm new to these cars, so can't confirm). So that said, the rim + tire is definitely lighter than any passenger.

Yeah confirmed, it says in the manual (of pretty much every modern Mazda I've managed to look at) that the airbag is disabled if a weight of some range like 10-30Kg or whatever (basically a child) is detected. Passenger seat only of course.
