Winter sucks
lol footman it's not that low, you just have to be careful on bumps lol. In parking lot bumps i do one wheel at a time because the front is 4 inches off the ground u cant go head on or eles u scratch underneath. Gas station's i used to go i stop going becuase their entrances is too high off the main roads going up was kinda ok, but going down not so good lol i had to find new one.
I haz xmas earlier!!!
Woot this brings a little bit of warmth to a cold winter.
Winter is good for projects on the car when you wouldn't want to bring offline during the sweet days of summer.
And it must be a good omen as the UPS dude showed during TopGear and a day early!!!!

Oh! new toys, you must of been a good boy this year for santa to bring you all those goodies.
so I'll remove the 290's and run 380/380/900
I'm tuning the car myself .... I have however procured some professional guidance (aka tutorship) to make sure I don't blow **** up ....
Go Santa Go Santa ...

What are your plans for boost?
Is there any problems if I just put on the new injectors without doing the scaling? Since it takes some time before Jeff can finish the final map. By the way, is that a gt35r?
Actually it's likely not what you think, I wouldn't use the NOS setup as a power adder.
People do, and Zex sells a Nos turbo kit to help eliminate lag.
However since you really can't use the nitrous before 4.5k rpm on the RX8 anyway, at that point you've already spooled up. (maybe a 25hp shot you might be able to engage earlier).
Doesn't matter really. My primary driving force behind getting the turbo kit was to remove the nitrous due to its "illegal status" in Ontario.
I enjoyed the hell out of the nitrous and it works great especially the few times I used the 75 shot.
The law in Ontario (in my understanding) states that Nitrous is illegal to use as a power adder on the public roads.

Therefore:
I was considering using it to chill the intercooler. You can use either Nitrous or CO2 for this purpose.

I don't know what size injectors your are going to install but anything bigger than stock will make your car run rich.
If I put in my 900cc injectors and left the scaling (originally set for 380cc) when the computer called for say ... 50% duty cycle on those injectors it would receive hella more fuel then it would if the 380cc injectors where installed.
Scaling the injectors is only one part of it as well.
There is a injector latency table as well that needs updating ....
I would recommend that if you are working with Jeff, you are just going to have to wait for him to provide you a tune with the correct injector scaling and latency.
That being said, I would put them in if it was my car and try it out.
But my car is not my daily driver and if it doesn't run worth a fiddlers fart then it doesn't matter.
Just say'n

I dread this time of year. The 8 is in storage. I am waiting to receive the new Need for Speed Hot Pursuit from Santa. That should satisfy my urge for spirited driving. For a little while anyways.
YEAH I'm a madman!!!!

Well it will screw up what Jeff is trying to do at his end. If you've already sent logs in with your current injectors.

Correct.
You could resubmit now with your injector data, dunno how much longer that will delay things.
Either way you will need to send the Injector Data to the MMCS to update your turbo map before installing the injectors

I'm liking that nitrous intercooler setup... very nice. Something to keep in mind.
Back on topic... I got myself a 95 Prelude SRV (VTEC) with a h22a swap as a winter toy. That, and I have a race seat and a BHR midpipe coming in!

I drove mine through three winters but stopped because of the rust developing on the rear fenders in front of the rear wheels, trunk lid, under body, axles etc.
My Jetta gets good enough mileage to justify the cost of having two vehicles. I wish I had done this from the beginning

The key is to wash your car very frequently in winter. Also rust proofing is a good idea. However i havent got time to rust proof and they say its better to rust proof in spring so the oil is set for the upcoming winter. So ill just wash freqeutly this winter. IM really hoping that should be enough to prevent rust. Any input about this ???
Is there anyway to reverse rust ?? In other words get rid of it ???

If you notice any rust on bare metal parts, you can take some oil/ wd40 and clean it off. If it's stubborn, you may need to scrub off using a brillo pad.
If it's coming through the paint, you'd unfortunately have to sand the area to get rid of the rust and repaint...

It is fun
You can look at it 2 ways:
1. A car is meant to be driven so drive that bitch all year round.
Or
2. But i cant have my baby go through the harsh canadian winter
I went with number 1 with the prevention of number 2

Thanks !! I checked today with a flash light and i have no rust

......that's all I have!
